This year, the director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, wanted to make the penultimate iftar of Ramadan special for children from the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo. The plan was to organize the iftar at Yellow Fortress, where the children could break their fast outdoors while listening to the traditional cannon shot and enjoying a panoramic view of Sarajevo on a Ramadan evening. Unfortunately, due to rain and unfavorable weather, they had to find an alternative solution.

Nestled on the slopes of Mount Bjelašnica, in the village of Ledići, is a holiday house that children without parental care from the Sarajevo Children’s Home already call their second home. It is a place where nature heals and the kindness of donors creates the conditions for a childhood filled with laughter, safety, and a sense of belonging.
