After successfully organizing several summer and winter excursions for the wards of the Home for Children without Parental Care in Sarajevo, the Foundation "Second" will continue to enrich their lives with appropriate activities.


During the winter break in January 2024, we would like to organize ten excursions for children without parental care and those who are living in families at risk of separation. We plan to take them to Mount Bjelasnica in the Ledići Village, where the Rehabilitation and Recreation Center is located.


The program during the excursion will include winter activities such as hiking, sledding, and skiing, as well as workshops related to the prevention of psychophysical health issues. The success of these trips and activities depends solely on donations received by December 2023.

At our Foundation, we stand by single moms with unwavering support. Our SoloStrong Project is dedicated to providing crucial assistance, including food, essential appliances, legal support, and more. We understand the unique challenges faced by single mothers, and we are committed to helping them navigate these challenges with dignity and resilience. By offering a helping hand, we aim to alleviate some of the burdens they carry and empower these incredible women to build brighter futures for themselves and their families. Together, we are making a difference, one family at a time.

Our Family Unity Support Project is committed to strengthening and preserving families facing the difficult challenge of potential separation. We provide essential resources, counseling, and guidance to empower these families to overcome obstacles and stay together. Through a holistic approach that addresses both immediate and long-term needs, we strive to create stable and nurturing environments where children can thrive while maintaining the bonds that are so crucial for their well-being. Together, we're building stronger, more resilient families and fostering lasting connections.

Our Empowering Futures Scholarship Program is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to children in vulnerable situations. This initiative aims to support two important groups: children living in families at risk of separation and children without parental care. Through this program, we offer financial assistance and academic support to ensure that these young minds have access to quality education and a brighter future.


We proudly sponsor children in primary school with a scholarship of 100 KM per month, and for those in high school, we provide 150 KM per month in financial support. By investing in their education, we are nurturing the potential of our future leaders and fostering a more equitable society.

In the heart of the mountain village of Ledići on Bjelašnica, the Rehabilitation and Recreation Center for Orphans will offer an exceptional place of recovery surrounded by the beauty of nature. With expert and gentle therapists, children will discover their strength, learn new skills, and regain confidence. Our individualized treatment methods will align with the natural rhythms of the environment, providing them with support in a natural setting.
In accordance with the Agreement signed with the Sarajevo Home for Children without Parental Care, the "Second" Foundation is actively engaged in fundraising efforts to establish the Rehabilitation and Recreation Center for the children under their care.

Help people in need to pay off their debts for utility bills, apartment rent or interest-free loans (just the main debt). Due to the economic crisis, staff cutting, increased prices of food, many citizens are piling up their debts, struggling to earn money to pay them off. They are faced with electricity, water and heating cuts, loss of their homes and much more. Many Bosnians and Herzegovinians are entering this winter with fear and anxiety.


Selection of the people that need help of this kind will be done in cooperation with the related institutions and double-checked with the respective debtors.

There are 37 of them. Kids and adults with special needs living in families that are struggling to provide them basic care. Foundation "Second" started a project of delivering food and hygiene packages directly to their respective homes in order to ease their day-to-day living. One basic food and hygiene package for a family of 2 costs 50 EUR.

Support 18 rescued cats that are waiting to be adopted or integrated in the Animal Assisted Therapy project in Sarajevo within Center for Emotional Support Cat Barn, which should be built in 2023. on the Mt. Bjelasnica near Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The oldest cat is 14 years old, and the youngest is 12 years younger. Six cats from the Cat Residence were part of the Animal Assisted Therapy Project in the Center for children with special needs "Dajte nam šansu (Give us a chance)" in Sarajevo. The project lasted six months in 2017.


Monthly costs amount 500 EUR and they include food, litter, supplements, vet, cleaning, maintenance, electricity, water and heating bills.
