Another Ramadan evening was marked by selfless support and care for those who need it the most. Astra Galata restaurant joined the family of hospitality venues that this year decided to offer a special iftar to children from the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo. This time, the iftar gathering was enjoyed by children from the Small Family Home on Titova Street, as well as several girls residing in the main Home.

The iftar was much more than just a meal – it was a moment filled with joy, care, and a sense of belonging. The children were welcomed with smiles, and the restaurant staff made sure that each child felt special and valued. In a pleasant atmosphere, with the aromas of traditional dishes and gentle ambient lighting, the evening passed in a spirit of heartfelt gratitude and happiness.

After the iftar, the evening continued in a spiritual direction. The girls, accompanied by the director of the Second Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, attended the evening prayers. They first visited the Ferhadija Mosque, where they prayed Maghrib, and then proceeded to the Emperor’s Mosque, where they performed Isha, Taraweeh, and Witr prayers, wishing to experience the beauty of Sarajevo's mosques during the holy nights of Ramadan.

A special moment of the evening was marked by the youngest girl from the Small family home, who, despite her age, insisted on joining the “big girls” for the mosque visit. Her heartfelt wish was a testament to how even the youngest hearts can feel the beauty of shared spirituality and togetherness.

Thanks to kind-hearted people like the owners and staff of Astra Galata restaurant, Ramadan evenings turn into warm memories that children from the Home will carry with them for life. This year again, Ramadan has shown its true strength – in connecting people, in the joy of giving, and in the warmth we can share with one another.
