Foundation Second has been engaged for three years in the renovation and equipping of the mountain house in Ledići on Mt. Bjelašnica near Sarajevo, which was provided by proBITRA Foundation to the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care for use over the next 99 years.

This space is not just a building constructed in 1922, which has a rich history and once served as an elementary school for children from this area, later becoming a monument to the National Liberation War.

It is now a place where the beneficiaries of the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo can enjoy various occupational, ecological, educational, and sports activities organized by Foundation Second, which provide them with support and facilitate their inclusion in society. These activities encourage physical activity and teamwork, helping children to develop social skills and confidence, build lasting connections with peers, and strengthen their emotional development.

In an effort to expand planned activities, Foundation Second applied for funding for the first time through a public call from the Federal ministry of labor and social policy for projects of non-institutional care. The expert committee recognized the significance of the Foundation's work, awarding enough points for the requested funding. This funding will enable the Foundation to work even more effectively and efficiently on the inclusion of children from vulnerable groups.

In the hall of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the director of the Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, signed the funding agreement yesterday.

“I would like to thank the Ministry, led by Adnan Delić, for recognizing and supporting our mission. This partnership gives us additional momentum to create a world where all children have the opportunity for safe and happy growing up,” stated Mujezinović.

Foundation Second continues to provide essential support to children from vulnerable groups, giving them fresh starts and the opportunities they deserve. The house in Ledići has become a vibrant sanctuary filled with activities, where children find a space for free expression, mutual connection, and strengthening their potential
