The director of Second Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, visited the Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo yesterday, where she met with the new director of the institution, Muhamed Musić. During the meeting, they agreed to continue the successful cooperation that has been ongoing for three years.

The meeting was also attended by Merima Delić, an architect from Studio Dimenzija, who has selflessly contributed to various projects of Second Foundation for many years. Her expertise and dedication have particularly stood out in the collaboration with the Home for Children without Parental Care, where she has helped create functional and welcoming spaces adapted to the children's needs through numerous projects.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the finalization of equipping the house in the village of Ledići on Bjelašnica Mountain, which the Home received for use thanks to The proBitra Foundation. This house will be used to organize various educational and creative workshops, sports activities, and other programs aimed at the social development of the children. In addition, the house will serve as an ideal place for the children from the Home to spend their winter and summer vacations, providing them with an opportunity for quality rest, recreation in a natural environment, and the development of social skills through group activities and excursions.

“Our mission is not only to provide these children with their basic needs but also to offer opportunities for their overall development. The house in Ledići is an example of how, through joint efforts, we can create a safe space where children can learn, socialize, and enjoy their childhood,” emphasized Belma Mujezinović, director of Second Foundation.

Thanks to the efforts of Second Foundation and the support of donors, the house has been successfully insulated and is ready for use. The key donors for this project were the British Embassy, Thermoflux, Knauf, Knauf Insulation, Bijela Tehnika, LUK, and Senigor, whose contributions ensured that the building is energy-efficient and safe for the children's stay.

Additionally, they discussed further plans for expanding the cooperation between Second Foundation and the Home, including additional projects focused on the educational and social development of the children, as well as their integration into the wider community.

The continuation of this cooperation marks another step toward strengthening support for children without parental care, enabling them not only to receive basic care but also the opportunity to develop their potential in a positive and stimulating environment.
