The management of the "Ribica" Water Park in the "Čardaci" Ethno Village in Vitez hosted the orphans from the Sarajevo Home for Children without Parental Care free of charge last week, giving them an unforgettable experience.

Nearly 60 children, along with their caregivers, traveled to this town in central Bosnia. One bus was filled with children from the Bjelave Home, while the other carried children from the Small Family Homes in Kovačići, Marijin Dvor, Blagovac, and Sokolović Kolonija.

They eagerly traveled for an hour and a half, frequently asking how much longer until they arrived... As soon as they reached the Ethno Village, they scattered across the large park, where four pools with water attractions dominate.

The oldest enjoyed the recreational pool and the tall, winding slides, while the youngest spent the entire day in the children's pool, sliding down slides shaped like an octopus and a bunny.

Under the watchful eyes of their caregivers, who followed them from the well-maintained grassy and sandy beaches, the children showcased their water skills, jumping, diving, and swimming until the very end of the trip.

Every so often, they would call the caregivers to show them what new skills they had learned and how well they could jump, dive, or swim.

This was also the last trip organized by the "Second" Foundation during this summer break. A total of six trips were organized, and besides Vitez, the children visited the village of Ledići on Bjelašnica, the Adrenaline Park at the "Monti" Hotel on Igman, the Olympic Center "Jahorina," the Ski Center "Ravna Planina," and the "Miris ljeta" Campground at Jablanica Lake.

The organization of the trip to Vitez was once again supported by Pomozi.ba through the Sami Čamdžić Fund with a donation of 500 EUR, which covered part of the transportation costs and lunch at the pool, while the "Second" Foundation funded the remaining transportation and beverages with an amount of 535 EUR.

"We thank all the donors who made it possible for the children to experience a summer break they will happily recount to their peers on the first day of school," said Belma Mujezinović, director of the "Second" Foundation.
