After an appeal made before Eid al-Adha, the "Second" Foundation successfully raised funds to purchase a stove and refrigerator for a family at risk of separation.

The family consists of a father, mother, their two children, and two children of the father's brother. The father was a member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, wounded three times, and as a result, has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The mother is frail and in poor health. The two children of the father's brother were previously placed in the orphanage in Sarajevo, but after significant efforts and the desire for unity, they came under the care of their uncle and aunt.

Due to the difficult financial situation and the parents' health problems, the family could not afford basic household appliances such as a stove and refrigerator, which are necessary for the normal functioning of daily life. To ensure basic living conditions and prevent possible family separation, the Second Foundation issued an appeal for help.

“The stove and refrigerator they were using were not functional. Only one burner on the stove worked, and the oven did not. The refrigerator was leaking, and the freezer did not work at all, so they could not store food for long periods. Despite this, when we brought them groceries before Eid, the mother asked us to buy a chicken so she could roast it on that one burner. We issued the appeal immediately, hoping to raise all the funds and purchase the needed appliances before the holiday,” said Belma Mujezinović, Director of the "Second" Foundation.

The appeal received a generous response from citizens and donors. Thanks to their donations, the Foundation managed to raise enough funds to purchase the necessary appliances. The stove and refrigerator were bought and delivered to the family before Eid al-Adha, allowing them to spend the holiday in the warmth of their home.

The Second Foundation expresses deep gratitude to all donors who showed their solidarity and humanity. This example demonstrates that by working together, we can help those in greatest need and ensure better living conditions for all members of our society.

“Your support is invaluable and shows how important it is to care collectively for those in difficult situations. We will continue to strive to provide help wherever it is needed, and we believe that together we can make a difference,” said Belma Mujezinović.

This action by the "Second" Foundation not only ensured basic living conditions for a family at risk but also served as a reminder of the power of unity and empathy. With the support of good people, it is possible to create a better and fairer society where no one is forgotten.
