Last week, the "Second" Foundation organized a trip to the village of Dejčići on Mt. Bjelašnica for the residents of the Pazarić Institution. This special adventure was filled with joy, togetherness, and the natural beauty that the residents experienced for the first time.
The staff at the Ribnjak Restaurant in Dejčići welcomed the group with warmth and hospitality. The owners made an effort to ensure the visit was as pleasant as possible, treating the guests to house specialties. While enjoying delicious meals, the residents had the opportunity to experience the true magic of nature.
The director of the Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, personally led the group through this unforgettable adventure. She guided them through the dense forest to a beautiful waterfall, giving them the chance to connect with nature in a way they had never experienced before. Despite the difficulties, everyone successfully walked the full three kilometers. This achievement was a special moment for all participants, as they managed to overcome the challenge with support and togetherness.
The trip was particularly significant because none of the residents, nor their caretakers who accompanied them, had ever been to this area before. For many of them, it was the opportunity to break their daily routine and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The excitement and joy were visible on the faces of all participants. Everyone expressed a desire to return to Dejčići and relive the magic of this natural place. This trip was more than just an escape from everyday life; it was a moment of connection, joy, and the creation of unforgettable memories.
With this trip, the "Second" Foundation demonstrated how important it is to provide residents with opportunities for new and inspiring experiences, while also helping them feel included and valued. We hope there will be many more such initiatives in the future, as these moments are priceless for everyone involved.
