Last year, the "Second" Foundation provided significant assistance to the Korjenić family, who live in the village of the same name near Goražde City in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This assistance included a new wood stove as well as several packages of food and hygiene supplies.

Belma Mujezinović, the director of the "Second" Foundation, visited the Korjenić family during the winter and found them with an old stove in which they could not bake bread. Since they live far from the nearest store, daily bread supply was extremely difficult for them.

The situation worsened after a tragic incident that occurred more than two years ago when the 41-year-old daughter A. in an attempt to use the old stove, placed empty batteries and spray cans inside, causing an explosion. Since then, the stove had not been functional. Daughter and her three-year-older brother A. are persons with special needs, and their mother also has certain difficulties, although less severe. The father was the pillar of this family, keeping them together and taking care of everything.

Thanks to the funds raised, the Foundation was able to purchase a new stove worth 380 EUR, significantly improving the living conditions of the Korjenić family.

This assistance was realized in cooperation with Emira Hodžić, the president of the Association for Persons with Special Needs of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton. Through this act, the "Second" Foundation once again demonstrates how joint efforts and solidarity can bring light into the lives of those most in need.
