A single mother with a baby and a 14-year-old daughter lives in a house full of moisture and mold in the Sarajevo Canton. For a year now, the "Second" Foundation has been assisting them in various ways, as they were part of the Family and Child Support Program of the Public Cantonal Institution "Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo," with which the Foundation has a signed Agreement of Cooperation.

During this period, the Foundation provided the family with food and hygiene packages, four meters of firewood, baby food, a stove, a washing machine, a blender, and paid off their electricity debt.

Additionally, the "Second" Foundation engaged a lawyer to write an appeal and represent them in court regarding the property in which they reside, which is the subject of a dispute among close family members. Due to this dispute, the Foundation could not continue with the fundraising process for renovating and equipping the inadequate house where the family lives. The roof is damaged, the upper floor and attic are not fully enclosed, and the house lacks facade and insulation.

Despite the baby's health being compromised due to staying in a damp, mold-infested house, the family will remain  there until the end of the legal dispute. Last year, they received a dehumidifier for free use for several months, greatly easing their stay in the humid environment.

The family is no longer part of the Family and Child Support Program of the Public Cantonal Institution "Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo," marking the end of the financial assistance project.

The "Second" Foundation will continue to provide legal assistance in the house dispute.
