Continuing their devoted mission of supporting children without parental care, the "Second" Foundation organized yet another unforgettable excursion in early August 2023. This time, the destination was the village of Dejčići on the stunning Bjelašnica mountain, where the residents of the Home for Children without Parental Care in Sarajevo spent a day filled with adventure, laughter, and new experiences.

During the excursion, the children had the opportunity to leave their usual environment behind and immerse themselves in the magical world of Bjelašnica. The activities were diverse, ranging from sports games on grassy fields to pony riding. However, the highlight of the day was an exploratory hike through a deep forest, leading to the exquisite waterfall on the river Bijela.

This was not the first time that the "Second" Foundation organized such outings. Last year, the children visited Stolac, Travnik, Jajce, and Lukomir during the summer break. This ongoing collaboration between the Foundation and the Home for Children without Parental Care undoubtedly contributes to the improved lives of these young individuals.

Excursions like this hold profound significance for children without parental care. They provide an opportunity for physical recreation and social interaction with peers. The feeling of inclusivity and acceptance is particularly crucial for their emotional development.

Moreover, these outings allow children to explore new places, discover natural beauty, and other attractions. This opens them up to a world beyond their everyday lives, nurturing curiosity and fostering a passion for learning.

The psychological well-being of the children is also greatly enhanced by such activities. A change of environment and engagement in enjoyable activities alleviate stress and anxiety, contributing to an overall sense of happiness.

Through these excursions, children acquire vital life lessons in teamwork, independence, responsibility, and adaptability, contributing to their overall educational development.

In conclusion, excursions for children without parental care during the summer break offer much more than mere travel. They become bridges to a better tomorrow, filled with hope and smiles, allowing children without parental support to create positive experiences that will accompany them throughout their lives.
