During the blessed month of Ramadan, Foundation Second launched an appeal to support the youngest — babies placed in the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo. The goal of the campaign was to raise 7.500 EUR to purchase new cribs, mattresses, waterproof covers, bedding, and dressers for twenty-five babies in Ward 1.

From the launch of the appeal to today, a total of 988.56 EUR has been raised in the account of Foundation Second. Special support for this noble initiative also came from the newly established organization Stichting Amanet from the Netherlands, which raised 4,900 EUR for the same campaign. Their selfless support once again confirms that true solidarity knows no borders.

"As parents and people who believe in the power of unity and good deeds, we felt it was our duty to support this campaign. Every child deserves a safe crib and a warm environment to grow up in, no matter where they are. We are proud that, together with our friends and donors from the Netherlands, we could be part of this humanitarian story and help those little ones who need it most." — stated Enes and Sarra Delić, founders of Stichting Amanet from the Netherlands.

Thanks to the funds raised, we immediately ordered the cribs and dressers, wanting to waste no time in creating a safer and more comfortable space for these little ones. However, in order to complete the furnishing of the baby ward, it is still necessary to raise 1,294 EUR for mattresses, bedding, pillows, and duvets.

Belma Mujezinović, director of Foundation Second, reminded everyone how important initiatives like this are:

"Ward 1 is home to the youngest children — from newborns to three-year-olds. In addition to the professional care they receive every day, we want to provide them with a safe, warm, and comfortable space to grow up in. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far — every contribution, no matter the amount, means a safer and more peaceful sleep for these 25 little lives."
