Foundation Second, with the support of its donors, has provided prayer clothing for four girls from the Small family home in Sokolović Kolonija, Sarajevo, which is a part of the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo. The shopping took place at Zumra’s boutique in Ilidža, where the kindness of the saleswoman earned us a generous discount. With this donation, the girls now joyfully attend Tarawih prayer, engaging in worship during this blessed month of Ramadan.
These girls, who experience a home-like atmosphere in the Small Family Home, are fasting with determination and pride, practicing their faith wholeheartedly. When we asked them if fasting was difficult, the eldest among them, a sixteen-year-old, replied with a smile:
"It’s not hard for me to fast at all. I even do sports and haven’t stopped my regular daily activities this month."
This hardworking young girl is an excellent student and already has clear plans for her future—after completing primary education, she plans to enroll in a high school for hairdressing.
Ramadan is a month of spiritual growth, togetherness, and solidarity. Thanks to the generous people who support the mission of Fondacija Second, these girls have felt the warmth of support and the joy of belonging to a community that cares for them. Their happiness and dedication to faith are the most beautiful expressions of gratitude to those who have made worship in this blessed month even more special.
