Foundation Second has been organizing iftars for children without parental care for the fourth consecutive year, and this Ramadan, the first iftar was arranged for 15 children from the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo at the Zmaj Stanica restaurant.

Out of the total number of children, 11 were fasting, and the iftar took place in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, filled with togetherness and joy. With the scent of somun bread and Ramadan delicacies, the children experienced the blessings of this mubarak month—the month of fasting, mercy, and benevolence.

After iftar, the director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, took four girls to the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, where they performed the Maghrib, Isha, and Taraweeh prayers. After the prayers, the girls had the opportunity to walk through the beautifully decorated Baščaršija, enjoying the Ramadan ambiance and the charm of Sarajevo’s old town. The evening ended in a local pastry shop, where they treated themselves to desserts and shared their impressions of this special day.

We extend special gratitude to the Zmaj Stanica restaurant, which once again supported our iftar project and provided the children with a delicious and carefully prepared Ramadan dinner. Their support and hospitality contributed to making this evening a cherished memory for the little ones.

"Ramadan is an opportunity to open our hearts and help those in need. We invite other restaurants and hospitality establishments to join our initiative and bring joy to children by offering iftar meals because every good deed in this month is multiplied in reward," said Belma Mujezinović, director of Foundation Second.

Foundation Second continues its efforts to provide children without parental care with a sense of belonging, joy, and spiritual fulfillment throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
