Last week, the 125th anniversary of the work and existence of the Home for children without parental care Bjelave, Sarajevo was celebrated at the Center for culture and youth in Jelićeva Street. This significant milestone brought together numerous guests, residents, as well as current and former employees of the institution, accompanied by a special program in which the Home's residents showcased their talents and efforts.

Throughout its long history, the Home at Bjelave has been more than just a refuge; it has been a symbol of hope and community, providing generations of children with a safe environment, education, and opportunities for a better future. During the ceremony, many attendees reflected on the rich history of the institution and its invaluable contribution to society. This anniversary was also an opportunity to express gratitude to all who have supported the Home over the years through donations, volunteer work, or partnerships.

A special moment during the celebration was the presentation of acknowledgments to individuals and organizations that have selflessly contributed to the Home's mission. Among the honorees were the Minister of labor, social policy, displaced persons, and refugees of Sarajevo Canton, Enda Pavić Pečenković, and the acting director of the Public institution "Cantonal center for social work" Sarajevo, Draženka Osmanspahić, both of whom have significantly supported the Home's residents and improved its working conditions. The certificate of appreciation was also presented by the Home's director, Muhamed Musić, to the director of the Second Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, for her outstanding contribution to improving the quality of life for children without parental care.

Foundation Second has been actively collaborating with the Bjelave Home for three years, providing support through various projects, including equipping the house in Ledići, organizing excursions, and many other activities enriching the lives of the children.

“This acknowledgment belongs not only to me but to all the friends and donors of Foundation Second, whose help has enabled us to realize numerous projects for the benefit of children from the Bjelave Home. We will continue to work with the same enthusiasm because every child's smile is worth all the energy invested,” said Director Mujezinović.

The anniversary concluded with a message of unity and support for children without parental care, emphasizing continued joint efforts to build a safer and brighter future for all the Home's residents.
