Director of the Second Foundation, Belma Mujezinović, and the director of the Home for Children Without Parental Care Sarajevo, Muhamed Musić, visited several key donors this week who made significant contributions to equipping the house in Ledići. This historic stone house, built in 1922, was granted to the Home for a 99-year use period thanks to the ProBITRA Foundation. Through generous donations and partnerships with socially responsible companies, the house has been transformed into a functional and safe space for children.
During their visits, they met with Ismir Kurtović, Sales Director at the company LUK, which donated part of the installations and designed an efficient heating system, ensuring a comfortable and safe interior for this stone house.
They then visited the owner of ZART, Zana Ruža, and Director Elvira Devedžić. ZART donated curtains that add warmth and aesthetic appeal to the space. Additionally, they toured Bijela Tehnika Hadžići, which donated kitchen appliances, enabling the functional furnishing of this vital space for children.
The visit concluded at the company KNAUF, where they met with Sales Manager Ermin Lokvančić. KNAUF donated gypsum boards, covering constructions, and mineral wool insulation, significantly improving the house's energy efficiency.
Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second, stated:
"This house is not just a space for children's leisure and activities but a symbol of collective effort and solidarity. Thanks to our donors, children from the Home now have a safe and warm environment, and we are proud to provide the support they need."
Muhamed Musić, Director of the Home, also expressed his gratitude:
"The donations from these companies have shown how social responsibility can significantly enhance the quality of life for children without parental care. This project exemplifies how collaboration can deliver tangible results and offer children a better future."
All donors expressed satisfaction with their involvement in this project and emphasized their willingness to support future activities, reaffirming that investing in the community is the best way to build a brighter and more stable society.
The Second Foundation continues its mission to ensure better conditions for the most vulnerable groups in society, supported by partners and friends who recognize the importance of such initiatives.
