Although the days of Ramadan are behind us, the stories born in its spirit continue to live on – in encounters, smiles, and moments that children remember far longer than a single evening.

One such story comes from the heart of Sarajevo, from the ambiance of House of Spite, where this Ramadan an iftar was organized for children without parental care from the Orphanage Bjelave.

Around twenty children, accompanied by their caregivers, had the opportunity to enjoy a warm, carefully prepared iftar and the specialties this restaurant is known for. But beyond the food itself, the evening was filled with a sense of belonging, care, and togetherness.

In a space rich with history and symbolism, the children stepped away from their everyday routine, even if just for a moment, and experienced something different – a dinner that was not just a meal, but an experience. Laughter at the table, conversations, the anticipation of dishes, and the joy felt in every corner reminded us how little is needed to create meaningful memories.

Foundation Second, together with partners and friends who recognize the importance of such moments, continues its mission of creating opportunities where children can feel the warmth of community and the care they deserve.
