In the spirit of Ramadan solidarity and care for others, the Ahmetspahić family from Vogošća once again opened the doors of their home to children from the Small Family Home in Blagovac.

The shared iftar brought together eight children accompanied by their caregiver Munira, and they were also joined by the director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović. The evening passed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, filled with conversation, laughter, and the sense of togetherness that makes Ramadan so special.
For children growing up in the alternative care system, moments like these hold special value. Spending time in a family environment, sharing iftar around the table, and receiving the attention of hosts leave a strong impression and create memories that children remember for a long time.
For years, Foundation Second has been working through various activities to provide children without parental care with exactly such experiences — moments of warmth, belonging, and the feeling that they are not alone.
With this gesture, the Ahmetspahić family once again showed how small but sincere acts of kindness can bring great joy. Opening the doors of one’s home and sharing iftar with children means much more than a meal – it is a message of acceptance, care, and togetherness that Ramadan carries.
Foundation Second expresses its gratitude to the Ahmetspahić family for their hospitality and for the support they have been providing to children in the alternative care system for years, making their Ramadan evenings warmer and more joyful.
