Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, together with volunteer Nedžma Selimović, took four girls from the Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo shopping for dresses and scarves at Hijab Butique at Zumra in Sara Center in Ilidža.

The girls enthusiastically chose the dresses they would wear to the mosque during Ramadan evenings. Thanks to the support of donors and the kindness of the boutique owner, they were able to find beautiful and appropriate outfits for the mosque at a very affordable price.

The cost of the dresses, which were already offered at a discount, was covered by the Stichting Amanet organization, while the boutique owner, in addition to the discount on the dresses, also donated practical hijabs for the girls.

The total cost of the purchase was 60 EUR, and the four girls left the boutique smiling, happy with their new dresses that they were excited to wear to the mosque.

The shopping trip was organized just before their departure for a Ramadan weekend at the Small Family Home in Ledići, where the girls spent their days in nature, enjoying the mountain air and shared activities.

A special moment for them was attending isha and taraweeh prayers at the mosque in Dejčići, where, in their new dresses and scarves, they attracted the attention and sympathy of the local community who warmly welcomed them.

Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, emphasized how such small but meaningful moments are important for children growing up in alternative care:

"Children who grow up in institutions often miss exactly these simple but important moments – being able to choose a dress themselves, feeling happy about going to the mosque, and knowing that someone is thinking about them. These girls proudly wore their dresses and went together to taraweeh prayer in Dejčići, where their smiles and beautiful manners won the hearts of people in the mosque. Moments like these remain in their memories and help them build a sense of dignity, belonging, and joy."

Foundation Second expresses gratitude to the Stichting Amanet organization for their support, as well as to the owner of Butik kod Zumre for donating the scarves and providing a discount that made this beautiful Ramadan story possible.
