Foundation Second continued this year’s Ramadan activities by organizing another communal iftar for children without parental care from the Cantonal Public Institution Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo, which was hosted at Ćevabdžinica Zmaj Stanica.

This long-time friend of the Foundation has been opening its doors free of charge to the residents of the Home for the fifth consecutive year, allowing them to spend one of the Ramadan evenings outside their everyday institutional environment, in the warmth and atmosphere of togetherness that an iftar gathering brings.
For children growing up without parental support, moments like these carry special meaning. Thanks to the support of long-standing partners such as Ćevabdžinica Zmaj, as well as donors who recognize the importance of such activities, Foundation Second continues throughout this Ramadan to bring the spirit of the holy month closer to the children – through shared iftars, social gatherings, and opportunities for worship.

After the iftar, one of the girls expressed her wish to continue the evening by visiting a mosque. Accompanied by Foundation Second's Director Belma Mujezinović, they first headed to the Magribija Mosque, where they performed the Maghrib prayer together.
They continued their Ramadan evening at the Emperor’s Mosque, arriving early to use the time before the Isha and Tarawih prayers for reading the Qur’an and its translation. In the quietness of the mosque, the evening gained a special dimension – one that transcends everyday life and remains a lasting memory.
With Allah’s help and the support of its friends and donors, Foundation Second will continue organizing iftars and other activities for children without parental care throughout this Ramadan, so that the month of mercy remains in their memory filled with warmth, togetherness, and a sense of belonging.
