This year, for the first time, Foundation Second organized a joint iftar for children without parental care from the Children’s Home in Mostar, thus expanding its Ramadan activities beyond Sarajevo. 

Namely, for the fifth consecutive year, Foundation Second has been organizing iftars for children without parental care from the Cantonal Public Institution Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo, and this week, thanks to the support of its donors, it also organized, for the first time, a joint iftar for children from JU “Dom-porodica” Zenica.

Thanks to the support of Foundation Second’s friends and donors, 30 children from Mostar, accompanied by seven caregivers, attended an iftar at Hotel Emen, where they had the opportunity to spend the Ramadan evening in a warm and festive atmosphere, outside their everyday institutional environment.

Hotel Emen donated 10 iftars, while Foundation Second, with the help of its donors, provided funds for the remaining 27 persons in the total amount of 810 KM.

The children enjoyed the shared meal, socializing, and the attention dedicated to them, and the Ramadan evening passed in a cheerful spirit and a sense of togetherness. For many of them, this was a special experience they will remember for a long time.

By organizing this iftar in Mostar, Foundation Second continued its mission of supporting children without parental care across Bosnia and Herzegovina, striving to provide them with moments of warmth, belonging, and joy during the month of Ramadan.
