The family of hospitality venues that during the month of Ramadan welcome children without parental care to shared iftars free of charge has this year gained another friend of Foundation Second – the Oaza Restaurant at Hotel Ilidža.

On Friday, the restaurant hosted children from the small family home in Sokolović Kolonija, together with their caregivers, giving them the opportunity to spend the Ramadan evening in a warm atmosphere, away from their everyday surroundings.
For children growing up in the alternative care system, such moments hold special value – because the iftar then becomes much more than a shared meal. It becomes a feeling of belonging, attention, and care from a community that recognizes and does not forget them.
"Every Ramadan reminds us how much togetherness can make a difference in the lives of children without parental care. With Allah’s help, and thanks to socially responsible partners from the hospitality sector, each year we are able to provide children with iftars in a warm and family-like environment. We are especially pleased that the Oaza Restaurant at Hotel Ilidža has joined our circle of long-term partners this year, whose gesture shows that the community can be a true support to children who need it most," said the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović.
Foundation Second will continue to organize iftars for children without parental care in Sarajevo and other cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina throughout this Ramadan, with the support of friends and partners.
