For the past year, two brothers from the Small family home in Blagovac have had steady support from Foundation Second through the Scholarship Fund. The monthly scholarship of 25 EUR each is not just financial assistance – it is guidance, motivation, and a boost that helps them overcome academic, sports, and life challenges.
Both are exemplary students and talented athletes. The older brother recently completed primary school with very good results, achieving an average grade of 4.30, and enrolled in the Secondary Hospitality and Tourism School, majoring as a Tourism Technician. He has been training football regularly for years at FK “UNIS” Vogošća, achieving notable results, and the scholarship helps him purchase sports equipment and cover competition expenses.
The younger brother is successfully completing primary education and demonstrates exceptional sports talent, particularly in football. His love for the sport grows day by day, and the scholarship enables him to acquire the necessary equipment, attend training regularly, and have pocket money for everyday needs.
The two brothers also have two sisters and another brother, and all of them have been under the care of the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo for several years. In the coming period, Foundation Second hopes to provide a scholarship for at least one more of them, so that the support can include as many children from this family as possible.

This assistance opens doors to a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling childhood, and gives us hope that there will always be people to guide them along the way,” said Mirza Konaković, Coordinator of the Small family home in Blagovac.
Although modest in amount, the scholarship has a huge impact on their daily lives – giving them the opportunity to develop skills, nurture talents, and believe in a better tomorrow.
