Foundation Second organized a special visit to the Sunnyland amusement park on mount Trebević near Sarajevo for two girls living in the Small family home in Marindvor – part of the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo.

Thanks to the support of our partners and the generosity of the Sunnyland staff, the girls spent an unforgettable day filled with joy, play, and meaningful shared moments.
The visit was arranged as a reward for their school efforts, responsible behavior, and the personal progress they have shown throughout the year – both in formal education and in extracurricular activities supported by Foundation Second.

Sunnyland hosts were exceptionally welcoming, providing the girls with free access to all attractions. The older girl, known for her curiosity and bravery, enjoyed the alpine coaster ride, while the younger one found happiness in the playroom and on the swings. Shared experiences, quality time, and a warm meal added a special touch to the day.
The girls, along with their brother, are regular scholarship recipients of Foundation Second. Through its scholarship program, the Foundation provides continuous support for their education, skill development, and emotional well-being.

For years, Foundation Second has maintained a close partnership with the Home for children without parental care, offering a wide range of support – from educational and recreational programs to practical assistance for young people preparing for independent life.

Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second, emphasized the importance of creating safe and fulfilling moments for children growing up without family care:
“These children do not ask for much – just attention, presence, and the feeling that someone truly sees them. Every time we fulfill even a small promise, we build the trust they need most in life. It is a privilege and a responsibility we carry with pride.”

This trip once again highlighted how essential it is to provide care, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to children without parental care. Their words and smiles remain the greatest reward – like the heartfelt message the older girl shared on the way home:
“When I grow up, I will bring you here – just like you brought us.”
Foundation Second extends its heartfelt thanks to the Sunnyland team for their warm hospitality and long-standing partnership, which continues to help create a safer and happier childhood for those who need it most.
