Last week, the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, together with psychologist Vesna Stanišić and Amina Pohara, Head of the family and child support service at the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo, visited a single mother of three children who has been part of this Service’s support program for several years.

The mother and her children are facing severe economic hardship, placing the family at serious risk of separation. During the visit, the Director of the Foundation purchased essential groceries worth just over 200 KM (100 EUR), providing the family with short-term stability and urgently needed assistance.

Foundation Second has been supporting this family for the past year, offering ongoing help through the purchase of food, clothing, school supplies, and by furnishing and renovating their living space.
"Our mission is to stand by families who have no one else to turn to. No one chooses poverty, but together we can choose solidarity. I want to thank all the wonderful people who support us – it is precisely thanks to their donations that we are able to offer concrete help and keep families together," said Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second.
The Foundation extends a heartfelt thanks to all donors who recognize the importance of timely and targeted assistance, as such interventions would not be possible without their support.

This visit once again highlights the importance of cooperation between institutions and humanitarian organizations in preserving the unity of families at risk. Foundation Second remains committed to its mission that no child should be separated from their family solely due to poverty.
