In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Director of the Cantonal public institution Children’s Home Sarajevo, Muhamed Musić, together with the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, visited the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The hosts of the meeting was the Embassy’s Diplomatic Attaché, Fahad AlFajji, who expressed great interest in the presentation of the projects that Foundation Second implements in partnership with the Children’s Home Bjelave.

During the visit to the Embassy, over tea, coffee and dates, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance programmes and activities intended for children without parental care, children with developmental difficulties, and children from families at risk of separation. The importance of long-term and stable support — which ensures a safer childhood and access to activities that foster development, confidence and a sense of belonging — was particularly emphasised.

Director Musić outlined the challenges and needs of children growing up in institutional care, while Director Mujezinović presented the innovative and inclusive programmes of Foundation Second: creative workshops, therapeutic and educational activities, rehabilitation stays at the Small Family Home in Ledići, and family-support projects aimed at preventing separation.

The Diplomatic Attaché expressed his appreciation for the joint efforts of the Children’s Home and Foundation Second, highlighting that the Embassy of Kuwait remains open to continuing dialogue and exploring possible forms of cooperation in the future. As noted during the meeting, investing in the well-being of children means investing in society as a whole, and the humanitarian and educational work carried out in Sarajevo has been recognised as an example of dedication and systemic improvement.

The meeting concluded in a spirit of mutual respect and gratitude, with a shared wish to provide children with better conditions, improved resources, and more opportunities for growth and development.
