On the second day of Eid al-Adha, Foundation Second distributed two qurbani donations thanks to the generosity of its donors, ensuring that the joy of Eid reached children and families who need support the most.

One qurbani was dedicated to children staying at the Small Family Home in Ledići on Bjelašnica Mountain, while the other was distributed to vulnerable families enrolled in support and monitoring programmes implemented by Foundation Second in cooperation with the Family and Child Support Service of the Public Institution Home for Children Without Parental Care Sarajevo.

The qurbani for the Small Family Home in Ledići was received by Foundation Second Director Belma Mujezinović from a local livestock farmer from Ledići who has been raising sheep, goats and cattle for many years. In this way, support was also provided to the local community where the Foundation carries out numerous activities for children without parental care.

"I am especially pleased that the qurbani was purchased from a hardworking local farmer from Ledići. In this way, the blessings of Eid remain within a community that has supported us for years and has become a second home for many of the children who come here. This qurbani will be used to prepare meals during summer activities and children's stays at the Small Family Home. I am grateful to the donor who chose to share the joy of Eid al-Adha with children without parental care in this meaningful way," said Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second.

The second qurbani was received in Sarajevo by Amina Pohara, Head of the Family and Child Support Service of the Home for Children Without Parental Care Sarajevo. The meat was then distributed to vulnerable families participating in the professional support programme and facing numerous daily challenges.

"For many of the families we support, gestures like this mean far more than material assistance alone. These are families who struggle every day to secure basic necessities and who very rarely have meat on their table. Donations such as this bring genuine joy and relief. At the same time, they send an important message that these families are not alone, that there are people who care about them and want to support them. We are deeply grateful to the donors whose qurbani made it possible for the joy of Eid to reach their homes as well," said Amina Pohara.

Foundation Second extends its sincere gratitude to the donors whose trust and support made this initiative possible.

Eid al-Adha reminds us of the values of solidarity, sharing and caring for others. Thanks to people with generous hearts, that message once again reached children without parental care and families going through difficult life circumstances.

We pray that Almighty Allah accepts their qurbani, rewards them abundantly for every good deed they have done, and grants blessings to them and their families. Ameen.
