Bajram is behind us, but some stories deserve to be shared even after it – because their message lasts far longer than the holiday itself.

During the month of Ramadan and in the lead-up to Eid, Foundation Second supported numerous families, helping them welcome the holiday with dignity, a smile, and a table full of food. Through various forms of assistance, many families experienced the joy of Eid and the warmth of togetherness that this holiday brings.
This is one of those stories. One of the families we had the opportunity to support.
Guided by the desire that everyone welcomes Eid with happiness and dignity, Fondacija Second brought joy to one family in Goražde by providing a targeted food package worth 100 EUR.
The package was delivered by the president of the Association for Persons with Special Needs of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, Emira Hodžić, a long-time collaborator of the Foundation who recognizes, on the ground, those who need help the most.
What makes this story special is the fact that this is a family that once supported others – helping neighbors, friends, and anyone in need. Life circumstances have changed, but their dignity, humility, and strength remain the same. Today, the community has the opportunity to give back.
This family never asked people for help, relying solely on faith and prayers to Almighty Allah. That is precisely why this act of charity carries special meaning – as it reaches those who quietly carry their burdens.
The oldest member of the family spends most of her time with the Qur’an and studying Islam, finding peace and strength in faith, which further reflects the spiritual strength and patience of this family.
Foundation Second is grateful for the opportunity to implement such activities in cooperation with the Association for Persons with Special Needs of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, whose dedicated fieldwork ensures that help reaches those who need it most.
Such activities would not be possible without the support of donors, whose contributions make it possible for this kind of good to reach those who carry their needs most quietly.
"Even after Eid, there are stories that remind us of the essence of what we do. There are families who will never ask for help, but that does not mean they do not need it. That is why it is important to have reliable partners on the ground. We are grateful that we could once again be part of a quiet, yet powerful story of good," said Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second.
Because Ramadan is not just a month – it is a reminder that the good we do should continue beyond it. 🤍🌙
