Last week, the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, together with Amina Pohara, Head of the Family and Children Support Service at the Cantonal Public Institution Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo, and social worker Safija Ibrahimović from the Ilidža Social Welfare Service, visited the Shelter for Adults in a State of Social Need, as well as three users of the Gerontology Center.

This visit was yet another reminder that humanity knows no boundaries and does not choose whom it will reach – because everyone deserves attention, care, and the feeling that they are not forgotten.
During the visit, users received packages containing juices, fresh fruit, biscuits, and sweets. Although modest in content, these packages brought much more than food – they brought smiles, warmth, and the feeling that someone is thinking of them.
Particularly emotional was the meeting with the users of the Gerontology Center, where conversations, attention, and a few kind words were just as valuable as the gifts. At times when elderly individuals are often left alone, such visits are of immeasurable importance.
Foundation Second emphasizes the importance of extending care to those often on the margins of society – whether they are children without parental care, families at risk, or elderly and abandoned individuals.
"Our mission is to be where support is needed most. Sometimes it is a large initiative, and sometimes it is simply showing up, having a conversation, and offering a small gesture of attention that can mean far more than we can imagine," said the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović.
Through this initiative, Foundation Second continues to build bridges of solidarity, reminding us that small acts of kindness can have a great impact – especially when they come from a sincere intention to brighten someone’s day.
