The Small Family Home in Ledići was visited by a group of members of the Association "Women Veterans 92–95" of Sarajevo Canton, who had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the Home, the activities carried out there, and the importance of spending time in nature for children without parental care.

The guests were welcomed in Ledići by Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second, who showed them around the Small Family Home and presented the activities carried out so far, as well as plans for its further development.

Special attention during the visit was given to programs that enable children to spend time outside the institutional environment in a warmer and more relaxed setting, surrounded by nature and activities through which they can learn, develop independence, and create beautiful memories.

The members of the Association also learned about the activities that are part of the children's everyday life during their stays in Ledići – from preparing meals together and taking care of the Home to working in the organic garden, spending time in nature, socializing, and caring for rescued cats that have become an inseparable part of the Ledići story.

During the visit, the participants also discussed the needs of the Small Family Home and opportunities for future cooperation. Members of the Association "Women Veterans 92–95" expressed their desire to contribute to the work of the Home through their engagement and to provide support to the children who stay there.

"We are especially pleased when people come to Ledići who recognize that this place is much more than a house for occasional stays. Our wish is for children to have a place here where they can feel safe and accepted, while also having the opportunity to gain experiences and develop skills through everyday activities that will benefit them throughout their lives. We are grateful to the members of the Association for visiting us and, even more importantly, for expressing their desire to support the children and the activities we are developing for them together," said Belma Mujezinović, Director of the Second Foundation.

The visit concluded with an agreement that this meeting would mark the beginning of a new connection and future cooperation, with the aim of creating additional opportunities and activities for children without parental care.
