Last week, seventy children from the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo (Bjelave Home), together with their caregivers, spent an unforgettable day on Ravna Planina. It was the first joint trip of the year involving all the children from the institution – an opportunity everyone had been eagerly anticipating.

Ravna Planina is already a well-known and beloved place for them, as they also enjoyed wonderful moments there last year. This year, the kind hosts once again opened their doors and hearts, giving the children the chance to enjoy a gondola ride, swimming in the artificial lake, and the attractions of Dino Park.
The youngest children were especially excited about the treasure hunt games in the forest, designed by the director of Foundation Second. She hid various toys and pieces of jewelry, and the most successful little treasure hunters got to keep the items they found.
Trips like this have a special meaning for the children from the Home, as they allow them to spend quality time together in nature, far from their everyday routine. Every moment spent playing, exploring, and sharing in fun leaves a lasting mark on their memories.
Thanks to the support of generous donors, Foundation Second provided transportation and lunch for all participants. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the hosts of Ravna Planina for their warm welcome and generosity, as well as to all donors who helped make this day possible.
Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second, emphasized the importance of such activities:
“Such excursions give children the opportunity to enjoy play, nature, and fun together, creating unforgettable memories. Every smile we see reminds us how important it is to organize days like these for them. We are grateful to our donors for making this possible and we hope to organize at least one more such trip by the end of the year.”
We continue to invite all friends of the Foundation and compassionate individuals to help us organize at least one more joint trip like this by the end of the year – because children’s smiles are the greatest reward and motivation.
