Last week, Sarajevo welcomed Sara Delić, president of Stichting Amanet from the Netherlands, which has been actively supporting at-risk families and children without parental care for the second year in a row. Together with Belma Mujezinović, director of Foundation Second, she visited the Home for children without parental care Sarajevo and toured the Baby 1 ward, where renovation works and installation of new equipment are currently underway.

A few months ago, Stichting Amanet helped purchase new cribs, cabinets, and mattresses for 25 babies, significantly improving the living conditions of the Home’s youngest residents. The visitors were welcomed by the staff of the institution, including Larisa Mahmutović, Head of the Home’s professional service, who expressed gratitude for the continued support.

After touring the ward, the guests spent time with the children at the Home’s playground, where they played and talked with them, sharing the joy of play and the warmth of togetherness.
“Our cooperation with Stichting Amanet is an example of how, through trust and joint efforts of humanitarian organizations from two countries, concrete changes can be achieved in the lives of children,” said Belma Mujezinović, director of the Foundation, thanking Sara Delić for her visit and support.

Similar impressions were shared by Sara Delić, president of Stichting Amanet, who said that she was pleased to once again be in Sarajevo and feel the warmth of togetherness.
“Our mission at Stichting Amanet is to help families and children who are most in need of support. I am especially glad that I had the opportunity to spend time with the little ones, because their smiles are the best confirmation that our efforts make sense,” said Sara Delić, president of Stichting Amanet.
