Ahead of the month of Ramadan – a time of solidarity, care, and togetherness – Foundation Second, thanks to the support of its donors, provided three families at risk of child-family separation with food and hygiene packages.

The packages were delivered in cooperation with the competent social welfare service and the Family and Child Support Service of the Cantonal Public Institution Children’s Home without Parental Care Sarajevo, whose professional teams are in daily contact with families facing difficult socio-economic circumstances and the risk of child removal from the family environment.
The Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, together with the Head of the Family and Child Support Service, Amina Pohara, visited the families and presented the packages that will ease their daily lives in the days leading up to Ramadan.
This activity is part of an ongoing support programme for at-risk families, implemented by Foundation Second in partnership with the Children’s Home without Parental Care Sarajevo, with the aim of preventing institutionalisation and preserving family unity.
We invite all socially responsible companies, organisations, and individuals to join us in this mission. One food and hygiene package can mean a more stable start to Ramadan for a family striving to stay together.
Together, we can be the reason children grow up in the warmth of their own homes.
