Foundation Second proudly announces that the Dutch humanitarian organization Stichting Amanet has once again provided essential support to a family that has been living in prolonged financial crisis. After covering one month’s rent earlier this year, Stichting Amanet has now financed another monthly rent payment of 180 EUR, ensuring that the family can remain in their home and preserve the stability they urgently need.

The family rented their apartment in the middle of this year, at a time when they were facing a serious risk of separation — specifically, the potential removal of the children and their placement in an alternative care institution due to the parents’ inability to cover basic housing expenses. From the very beginning of the rental period, Foundation Second has continuously supported them in overcoming the many challenges of daily life. In addition to assisting with part of the rent, the Foundation has repeatedly provided food, clothing, firewood, and essential furniture and household items, ensuring the home remains safe and dignified, especially for the children.

This family is part of the Family and child support service within the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo. The professional work of this Service, combined with donor support, plays a crucial role in enabling the children to remain with their parents instead of being placed in institutional care due to economic hardship.
The latest contribution from Stichting Amanet provides the family with another month of secure housing, giving them the space to breathe, regain stability, and stay together. In a time when every form of support matters, gestures like this demonstrate the strength of a community built on mutual care and solidarity.

Foundation Second and Stichting Amanet continue their cooperation to jointly provide safety, hope, and a better future for the most vulnerable families. This story is yet another reminder that through united action we can prevent the separation of children, preserve families, and give them a chance to rise out of a difficult situation.
