A five-member family from Sarajevo, currently at risk of separation due to severe economic hardship, recently received a much-needed donation—a freezer that will greatly ease their food storage and meal planning.

The appliance was donated by a fellow citizen who no longer needed it and wanted it to go to someone who truly would. She reached out to Foundation Second with a simple but noble request: to place the freezer in a home where it would be appreciated.
Foundation Second quickly identified a family for whom this donation would make the greatest impact, established contact with them, and facilitated the handover. Despite living in modest conditions, the family arranged their own transport and received the freezer with deep gratitude.
“A freezer is a big deal—not only in a practical sense, but also as a sign that someone cares. For families living on the edge of survival, this kind of support brings a sense of security and hope. I am grateful to the donor who showed that meaningful help, born out of a sincere wish to do good, can truly make a difference,” said Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second.
The Foundation continues to support families at risk of separation and encourages all citizens to consider how they too can help—because what one person no longer needs might be priceless to someone else.
