Foundation Second has continued providing support to families facing difficult living conditions and at risk of separation due to economic and social challenges. Thanks to the generous donation of a kind-hearted citizen, a five-member family under the supervision of the Family and child support service of the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo has now received a fireplace, ensuring warmth and safety for the coming winter.

The family moved into a modest home three months ago, where unfortunately, no heating was provided. The cold spring days made their everyday life even more difficult, and since they had already faced a harsh winter in difficult conditions, Foundation Second recognized the importance of securing heating in time for the next season.
This family has been included in the support program for a year now, and through joint efforts with the Family and child support service of the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo, steps are being taken to create conditions for the children to remain within their biological family. Ensuring basic living conditions — like heating — is one of the essential steps in stabilizing family life.
On this occasion, the Director of Foundation Second, Belma Mujezinović, expressed her gratitude to the donor with the following words:
“We would like to sincerely thank our donor for providing the funds needed to purchase the fireplace, which was essential for this family. Thanks to her support, the family will face this winter in a warm home, and the children will have a safe space to play, learn, and grow. The warmth of a home is not only about physical temperature — it’s about creating a sense of safety and belonging, especially for children growing up in unstable conditions. Thank you for recognizing the importance of this assistance and giving the family an opportunity for a more dignified life.”
Foundation Second, together with its donors and partners, will continue to invest efforts in preserving families by providing support where it’s needed the most, believing that true change begins through humane and sincere acts of solidarity like this.
