During their travels through the Balkans, a family from the United Kingdom decided to leave a mark of kindness in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before setting out on their trip, Erinna Cave and her family purchased two new child car seats to ensure safety and comfort for their baby and young son while traveling by car through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

As their adventure came to an end, and with their return flight from Sarajevo approaching, the family decided not to take the car seats back to the UK. Instead, they reached out to Foundation Second, wishing to donate the seats to benefit children from vulnerable groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The two car seats, together valued at approximately 350 KM—one worth around 200 KM and the other about 150 KM—were gratefully received by the foundation. Foundation Second’s director, Belma Mujezinović, personally met the donors at Sarajevo International Airport, where they handed over the seats and explained their features, advantages, and safety characteristics.
“We are sincerely grateful to Mrs. Erinna Cave and her family, who, although spending only a few weeks in our country, showed genuine empathy and a wish to help. These high-quality car seats will be of great use to children participating in our programs, for whom safety during transportation is just as important as any other child’s right,” said Belma Mujezinović, director of Foundation Second.
This thoughtful gesture from foreign visitors once again proves that kindness knows no borders. When journeys end, the most meaningful memories remain in the moments when we give—and leave a part of ourselves with those who need it most.
