The youngest beneficiaries of the Cantonal public institution Home for children without parental care Sarajevo, children as young as two years old, spent an unforgettable day with their caretakers in the village of Ledići on the slopes of Bjelašnica. Foundation Second covered all the costs of this trip, giving the little ones the chance to experience joy and freedom they rarely have the opportunity to feel.

In the yard of the house, the children played carefree, ran around, and discovered new games, while the walk through the village gave them the chance to get to know nature and the peace it brings. The bravest among them ventured to a nearby waterfall, fascinated by its power and beauty. They were especially delighted by the company of two girls who were spending their summer vacation in the village with their parents. Their presence brought extra warmth and a sense of togetherness, as the children played, laughed, and shared their experiences.

The value of this trip was even greater thanks to the participation of several little ones with developmental disabilities. Time spent in nature had a strong positive impact on their psychological well-being – the open space, fresh air, and interaction with peers helped them relax, feel safe, and freely express themselves.

"Our mission is to provide even the youngest children with moments of childhood they will remember. Even two-year-olds can already recognize the beauty of play and freedom, and especially those growing up without parental care deserve love and attention from the community. Nature is the best classroom and source of happiness for them, and we will always strive to make that possible," emphasized Belma Mujezinović, Director of Foundation Second.

Thanks to the support of Foundation Second, this stay in Ledići became a memory that will warm the hearts of the youngest beneficiaries of the Home and remind them that they belong to a world full of beauty, play, and joy.
