After three years of joint activities, Foundation Second and the Pazarić Institution are continuing their partnership with new initiatives aimed at creating warm, inclusive, and meaningful experiences for the institution's residents.
Today, Second Foundation Director Belma Mujezinović visited the Pazarić Institution, where she met with Director Amra Bučan to discuss the results of their cooperation so far, as well as new activities planned for the coming period.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue and further expand the successful partnership that began three years ago through programmes that provide residents with opportunities for socializing, spending time in nature, and gaining new experiences.
Over the past three years, Second Foundation has organized numerous activities for the residents of the Pazarić Institution, including day trips, iftars during Ramadan, and ice skating outings. Each activity has given residents the opportunity to spend quality time outside the institution, build new friendships, and create lasting memories.
The next joint activity will be a visit to the Small Family Home in Ledići, where the residents of the Pazarić Institution will spend a day in nature, tour the organic garden, meet the rescued cats that are part of the therapeutic programme, and participate in workshops and social activities.
This visit will also have a special emotional significance. Many of the children and young people who now live at the Pazarić Institution previously lived at the Sarajevo Home for Children Without Parental Care. Thanks to this visit, they will have the opportunity to reunite with their friends from the Home, with whom they once grew up and shared their everyday lives.
For many years, Second Foundation has worked closely with both the Sarajevo Home for Children Without Parental Care and the Pazarić Institution, striving to build bridges between institutions and create opportunities for children and young people, regardless of where they currently live, to preserve their friendships and sense of belonging.
The Small Family Home in Ledići was designed as a place of connection, rehabilitation, and community, where children and young people from different institutions and life circumstances can spend time together, learn from one another, develop new friendships, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.
Second Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Director Amra Bučan for the warm welcome and her openness to continuing this partnership, convinced that the upcoming visit to Ledići will be just the first of many future activities that will bring joy to the residents of both institutions.
