From the moment Foundation Second announced the long-term charitable project — the Abu Huraira Haven — support began pouring in from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora. What began as an initial wave of kindness has grown into a movement — a movement of unity, goodness, and perseverance to build a space that will, for years to come, serve as a refuge for those who need support the most.
Today, with great joy, we announce that 498 square meters of land have been secured, amounting to a total of 9,960 KM.
This amount brings us significantly closer to the beginning of the first phase of establishing a center that will bring together inclusion, therapy, education, rehabilitation, and employment.
Goodness that grows month after month
Among many donors, we highlight the example of a generous woman who recognized the value of this project from the very beginning.
She donates every month, covering 5 square meters of land, allowing the number of purchased square meters to continuously grow.
Her dedication shows that lasting charity is much more than a one-time gesture. It is commitment, perseverance, and a conscious investment in goodness that continues to spread — month after month, square meter by square meter.
Such examples remind us that the greatest projects are built with the heart.
The strength of unity
The price of one square meter is 10 EUR, making it possible for many to take part. Numerous donors have joined this mission, and their support demonstrates how collective action can bring meaningful change.
The planned Abu Huraira Haven will offer a wide range of services:
- rehabilitation programs and professional psychosocial support
- occupational therapy workshops and educational programs
- training and employment for young people leaving alternative care institutions
- programs for children, people with disabilities, and families at risk
- cat-assisted therapy
- a reading room, Cat Café, and educational space
- a spiritual environment enriched with Islamic values of kindness, compassion, and gratitude
This center will become a place of warmth, therapy, learning, and social inclusion — the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
